Wedding Invitations

{STEP #1}
Consultation & Customized Proposal

I have each of my brides fill out my wedding questionnaire and put together an inspiration board for their event.  It gives me a better idea of who you are as a couple, what kind of wedding you envision, and what you want in an invitation suite.  We will discuss all of this and more in our initial meeting – for local brides, we can set up an appointment to meet at the Phoebe Street studio, and for long-distance brides we can chat via phone.

Once I have a good idea of exactly what you want, i will put together a custom proposal for your invitations & any other paper goods we discussed.  For a general example of my pricing, contact me for a pricing guide - but keep in mind that each project is quoted individually.

Timing: 1 week

{STEP #2}
You Say YES & Design Begins

You look over the proposal and you can’t wait to get started… great! Just send back the signed agreement and we’ll be all set. At this point, I’ll ask for a 50% deposit, which can be paid via check or credit card.  This will reserve your timeframe on my calendar and allow me to get started on your invitations.  I’ll also let you know what content I need (spelling of names, addresses, ceremony time, etc) to get going on your designs. 

Then the real fun begins.  I will take all of the info you gave me in your wedding questionnaire, color swatches, inspiration board, and everything we discussed in our initial meeting, and put together some custom design options for your invitation suite.

Timing: 3-4 weeks

{STEP #3}
Make it Perfect, Print & Assemble

With every custom invitation package, I include three rounds of revisions – I find that this is generally more than enough time to get everything exactly how you want it.  If you find that you need additional rounds of revisions, that’s no problem – they will be billed as an add-on to your original package.

Once your invitation suite is finalized, I’ll send over a final proof, which you can sign & send back to me approving it for print.  At this point, your balance will be due and must be received before files are sent to print. 

I will handle all printing and assembly (unless you've opted to do the assembly yourself, in which case I'll package everything up for you with assembly instructions).  Then you can send your custom, one-of-a-kind invitations out to be admired by your guests!

Timing: 2-6 weeks (depending on your printing method and complexity of assembly)

Event Invitations & Announcements

Check out the process above for weddings… you can expect kind of a “mini” version of this for custom-designed bridal or baby shower invitations, party invitations, birth announcements, and social stationery.

Investment & Availability

Wedding invitation suites (which include a custom-designed invitation and RSVP card, blank outer envelope and blank RSVP envelope, flat-printed on thick, 100% cotton cover stock) start at $1000 for a quantity of 100. To ensure that I can give each project the focus and time it demands, I take on a limited number of invitation projects per month.
