Meet Carrie

Hi.  I’m Carrie, the designer behind Phoebe Street Creative.  My passion for all things creative began at a young age, when I firmly believed that I could make anything out of paper, crayons, tape, and string.  This enthusiasm and energy for creating eventually led me into a career in graphic design.  With a personality that is equal parts free-spirited creative & organized perfectionist, I am a born designer.

While I’ve worked with many different types of businesses and clients across a wide range of industries, my hands-down favorite projects have always been branding & invitations.  Why?  Because they are so personal.  Your branding is the first representation of YOU to your customer.  In the same way, your invitation sets the tone for your wedding, birthday party, shower, or celebration.  I love partnering with my clients & couples to translate all of that – who they are, what they do – into a design and onto paper.

I am a fan of strategic white space, good typography, alignment (and breaking alignment), fresh colors, and hand-lettering.  I love the feel of a luxe cotton paper, the artisanal look of letterpress, and the use of non-traditional materials.  But most of all, I love my incredible clients.

The Phoebe Street Studio is located in Encinitas, California, but I work with clients all over the map.  Aside from the role of designer I am also wife to an amazing, supportive husband, and mom to an adorable son.  I am blessed & thankful for all of it!

About Phoebe Street

There is a street in Encinitas called Phoebe Street.  It is a little street by the beach, with a little post office and lots of surfers, dog-walkers and bike-riders.  And for me, that’s where it all happened.  It’s where I was living when I started dating my husband.  It’s where we lived when we got married, and where we brought our son home from the hospital for the first time.  It’s where I decided to start my own graphic design business, and where the design studio is located.  Phoebe Street has seen a lot of changes in my life, and it’s a special place to me.
